building a fixed gear – I
for these few months i’ve been keeping an eye on a bike over at a street, and one day i’ve got it. yippie!
the main reason for that bike is because i’ve fallen in love with track bikes. their simplicity in form attracts me. what i got is a multispeed bike, and that is the challenge! got many references from international and local bike forum, from bike pictures to fixed gear applications.
i actually rode it back home, about 4 km. the multispeed gears gave away twice, then the loud noises from the derailers and i’m not used to shift bike gears..

from the complete bike i’ve removed all brakes and cables. i’ll put some of the new parts tomorrow.
